My clients often ask me about flamenco shoes; which ones are the best and where to buy them. I am not a dancer and therefore can’t give them the detailed information they are looking for.
Some tima ago I came across an article by Yvette La Sole Garcia which gives gave a good overview of the different types and manufacturers of flamenco shoes available.
In the article you will used to find
- characteristics and quality of each shoe
- indicative prices
- outlets and websites that sell them
With this information it should be easy (or at least easier) to find the perfect flamenco shoes.
UPDATE April 2014:
The website that hosted Yvette La Sole’s article unfortunately no longer exists. However, I found another website that helps finding the right flamenco shoes.
Hello,
I’m emailing about the “Find the Best Flamenco Shoes For You” article, and I have a few suggestions on what you can post onto your website reguarding different beginner, semi-pro and professional brand flamenco shoes.
– Menkes
-Begona Cervera
-Gallardo
-Aihoa
-Zapatos Buleria Sabates
-Triana
Thanks,
Sunny M.
